Mandarin & Cream Smoothie

Sesame seeds, the main ingredients in tahini, are rich in minerals such as copper, manganese, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and iron. Besides being rich in beneficial minerals, sesame seeds have been shown to help lower cholesterol, prevent high blood pressure, and increase vitamin E stores.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup full-fat unsweetened canned coconut milk
  • 1 cup water, plus more if needed
  • ¼ cup unhulled sesame seeds, soaked overnight drained and rinsed if possible
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 small handfuls spinach
  • 4-5 mandarins, peeled, about one heaping cup
  • ½ avocado
  • 4 drops stevia, optional
  • Pinch sea salt
  • Ice, optional

Directions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth, adding water as needed. Pour into 2 glasses or to-go jars and enjoy.
